Kara's journey with the needle began at the age of 11, guided by the patient hands of a dear family friend. What started as simple stitches soon transformed into a lifelong vocation.
In 2004, she opened her first drapery workroom, mastering the technical precision of high-end home textiles. Yet, her heart always wandered back to the intimate, storytelling nature of quilting.
"I call it Quilt Therapy because that’s exactly what it is. The rhythmic hum of the sewing machine is a meditation. In a world that moves too fast, the slow assembly of a quilt provides a unique therapeutic power that heals the soul."
