Nestled in the middle of beautiful Lancaster County farmland are Hillside's Cottages, the first being the Chicken Coop.
The popularity of our first Cottage at Hillside prompted us to begin the process all over again with our new cottage - the Stable.
Hillside Farm Bed & Breakfast is a farm home in a peaceful rural setting featuring a Pre Civil War farmhouse (built 1821), barn and other buildings. Once a dairy farm, Hillside Farm Bed and Breakfast is still surrounded by one of the largest areas of farmland left in Lancaster County which guarantees a healthy measure of rest and relaxation. Just a half mile down the road is one of the many Amish farms that dot the area and a one-room schoolhouse. *Situated well off the main road, we are convenient, yet secluded enough for a "get away" retreat. The back of the house overlooks Chickies Creek with a view of the mill dam and an old generator house.
*On warm evenings, you can sit on the deck under the trees and listen to the owls, bullfrogs, and cows. Occasionally, if the wind is right, a train whistle will drift in from the distance or the clip clop of Amish horses can be heard. So rural, there's not even a phone in the bedroom to disturb the peace. Wake up to the songs of the birds, with the creek for background music, and decide which direction your day will go. Rest, just be lazy, or relax and do whatever you choose.
*On the other hand, if "going and doing" are your relaxation, you will be close to it all. Lancaster County has many attractions: surely something for everyone.

Many of the sites allow for reservations to be made.
And if you are romancing, you might want to have a special bouquet delivered to Hillside Farm. A list of local florists is provided so you can surprise your special someone. A note to Hillside would be appreciated so we are sure to be available when your order is delivered. We will be happy to see they are placed in your cottage before your arrival.
